I had the same problem that INET light was not glowing; This is because your login details are not being accepted by the sever

TO solve this: Visit your telephone exchange and personally register your complaint describing that INET light is not glowing
(calling at 1504 does not help)
If they do not clear the problem go there again and repeat the process
Then your problem should be resolved

    PM me for any help

    1. Please mention modem - model and make

I think this is an exchange issue. Ask them to change the port and try.

    Things you can do yourself:

    a) Check the wires. Sometimes we overlook the most obvious. A faulty wire or connector can be an issue.
    b) Check the splitter. It may be malfunctioning. It should be at the first entry point of the telephone line in the house.
    c) Check SNR Margin and Line Attenuation.
    d) Check outside line - lookout for joints, twists, corrorded contacts, etc.

But most likely you have a problem with the outside line and port at the exchange. See this thread: My interactions with BSNL

i guess the problem is with the splitter.... its not separating the DSL line and telephone line.

Reset switch is at the bottom of the unit near right leg probably.

Which mode do you use ? Bridge or PPPoE ? PPPoE mean ID and password stored in the modem and you can connect bu simply switching ON the modem.

Every modem has a reset switch. There will be a small hole in the bottom of the modem. Use a refill and hold it for say 30 seconds when modem is powered ON.

I think that there is a problem with your line or port. Please make a complaint at the exchange.
