    Default BSNL portal in data.bsnl.in NEW FORMAT.

    Hi,

    There's just one update, i was just checking the data.bsnl.in website. Now it takes the Service id as input and is now displaying data usage in GB's.

    Maybe a little bit unnecessary because usage in MB's is the easiest to work with. Now, we don't know whether 1 GB is taken as 1024 MB or 1000 MB while calculating

    This is not good!
    Now the users will have difficulty is finding their usage,whether you use 1000 MB,still it will show 1GB,or even after crossing some amount of 11~1200 MB,still the usage will be displayed in GB'S,it don't sounds good!

    Default Looks its 1GB=1024MB

    Hey i just looked at the june bill. I calculated the last excel file which was in MB's and added whatever i browsed the last day on 30th and it looks like its 1GB = 1024MB which they are calculating. Thank god

    Whatever the excess amount above 1036 MB (1.5 GB) and 2560 MB (2.5 GB) and so on, we only have to calculate at the rate of 0.XX Re / MB. So some extra work if you end up exceeding the limit by considerable amount!!!

    @Albert,

    Its displaying in GB's upto 2 decimal points, so it will be either 1.10 GB, 1.22 GB or so on, atleast that calculation part is done in pure computer science terms (1024,2048 etc). So, need not worry about some discrepancy here, only the cross checking of usage will be cumbersome i guess because the session wise usages are still in KB's ( can that be in MB's for ease of use??? ), only the total usage is shows in GB's.

    Actually, logically it makes sense, if total usage is made in GB's, they should also make session wise usage in MB's. Wait and watch.
