Thread: bsnl wireless bb inlaptop

i have bsnl wireless broadband connection for laptop.i have brought a laptop from saudiarabia "dell vosto 1015".when i connect it through wire it is connected and internet page opens but through wireless it is connected but the the internet page doesnt open.i use teracom modem of model:t2-b-gawv1.4u10y-bi

how to clear this

Are you seeing the wifi network name entered in Teracom?

Enable DHCP in modem. In the TCP/IP properties, select " Obtain IP address automatically ".

Teracom Type-II ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION
Also DHCP box can be available in LAN page. Enable it
make entry say 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.10
Save Reboot wait for 2 minutes.
restart modem.

In your computer
Start Network
LAN and WLAN settings
Properties
Network settings pages will open
Select TCP/IP
properties

select " obtain Ip address automatically
Apply Save.

now i get connected through wireless and in wireless preoperties data is sent and received
but it is too and i cannot open any page

i used the link u provided
it says to assign MAC address as provided from the computer.
when i assign it taken from computer,it shows "enter valid mac address"
i am in tamilnadu,cuddalore and i used the DNS given from the "link" you have given.
what preferred and alternate DNS server should i give.
what should i do now

the mac address shown can be used.

Here's How:

1. Click the Start menu button on the Windows taskbar.
2. Click 'Run...' on this menu.
3. Type 'cmd' in the text box that appears. A command prompt window launches on the desktop.
4. In this command window, type 'ipconfig /all'. Details are shown for each of the computer's network adapters. Computers installed with VPN software or emulation software will possess one or more virtual adapters.
5. The 'IP Address' field states the current IP address for that network adapter.
6. The 'Physical Address' field states the MAC address for that adapter.

As i am using MAC OS system ( not familiar with various commands ) , unable to check will update on Friday.
