Default Not able to access UTStarcom WA3002g4 admin

    Hi,

I took a BSNL Broadband before a month and the CC service is very poor here as it is a small town. they installed the connection with the wifi router, and the internet got working in a single PC, but when i wanted to access the WIFI i was unable to, and i think the wifi is not configured correctly to work with.

they have installed UTSTARCOM WA3002G4 modem+WIFI router, i am unable to access the admin page, when i type 192.168.1.1 in the browser it says the page cannot be displayed. i did ipconfig/all and it showed the ipadress 169.254.90.71 which i tried too and still unable to access, i tried many ipadresses like 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.10 etc. nothing seems to work out.

below is the screenshot i took after typing ipconfig

    please check the image from

How do i get access to router admin so that i get access to wifi over other devices in my home.

PS: wifi Detects in other devices of my home but i am unable to browse internet.

    thanks in advance..
    quicker help is much appreciated

Try this guide and change the values accordingly

http://www.indiabroadband.net/broadb...nectivity.html (How to repair - Limited or No connectivity)

Which mode do you use ? PPPoE or bridge. You need to be in PPPoE to connect more than one system at the same time.

    Try this

    UTSTAR WA3002-G4 quick reference

If nothing works, reset your modem and reconfigure it.

thank you very much dilip for the reply.

the problem is solved. what i did was i had to follow the reset instructions for my router and then i had the access to router admin page.

and then i had to follow the instruction (i am repeating the steps incase if it can be of help to anyone)

    1. Go to Advance Setup
    2. there will be a table listing check on the remove except the one above with Protocol PPPoE and then click remove to delete all. lastly there should be left with just one. now click on the only edit button
    3. click next
4.make sure you have selected PPP over Ethernet(PPPoE) here and click next
    5. in the PPP Username Field Enter your Username : and in PPP Pasword : your password and check the Retry PPP password on authentication Error and Bridge PPPoE Frames Between WAN and Local Ports (Default Enabled) is enabled
    5. Click Next again Next and then Save
    6. Lastly Click on Save Reboot
    7. Close all your Browser and then your internet connection is ready to go.
8.my wifi got detected and i had the wireless access by going through this method.

PS: for security settings of wireless please search the forum.
