Thread: How to connect wifi bridged connection in Nokia E63.

My Modem(Syrma AR800v3.0) does not support PPPoE mode.
I have BSNL Broadband UL 750 (Type II).
How to make connect to my new E63 mobile phone.
It detects WiFi and connects.But replies "No Gateway Reply".

If you mean "Dialer" mode Not required for your purpose.

Usually in any modem/router for using WIFI mode, you should un check "Bridged" In WAN Page.
Select PPP/PPPoE and enter your user Id ( without @ bsnl.in ) and PW
Also enable DHCP in lan page.
If UpnP box is seen enable it also.
Confirm your computer /laptop if available , works in wifi mode
without any connection to modem/router.
Then in E63 same wifi name will appear and you could be connected to internet.
( security key may be required WPA or WEP )

I am using the same modem and is in PPPoE. Check the teracom link (similar to AR 800 V v3.0) and configure your modem in PPPoE.

Enable DHCP in your modem and in TCP/IP properties of your setting select " Obtain IP address automatically ".

hi my wifi works well when i use auto connect and ppoe mode..

BUT when i delete all PVC and make a new PVC having 0-35 bridging and then from connection wizard of win xp..
i make a new connection where i ve to put my user n pass and then it gets connected to internet..
THE WIFI stops working.. it generate signals but i can not surf on my iphone or my nokia n79 NOR i can connect my laptop via wifi.

any suggestions ???

To use ethernet and wifi at the same time, you need to be in PPPoE.
