    Default Rocking broadband speed

I am using Networx software to measure bandwidth usage.

In today morning session's usage detail I noticed data rates like 300-400 KB/s and downloaded more than 1 GB per hour.

The screenshot of Networx usage detail:
    Attachment 7421

    Is it normal?

Hey which plan are you on? Those are nice sustained speeds.

But they seem to be more of an exception than a regular occurance.

I am using combo 500 c+ plan (now called combo 600).

It has speed of up to 2 Mbps.

Also I am not using default DSN. Instead I am using Open DNS.

And I am using Download manager to download data.

Plus I have allowed access to torrents through my computer firewall.

Are these could be reasons behind such speeds?

Are you worried about too much variation in speeds? Torrents may not always give you guaranteed 2mbps.

Check your speed using BSNL's speed checker at Dataone WebMail. Check it at various hours during the day, and see if it comes around 1.5 to 1.8 mbps.

if you had scheduled torrent downloads the readings are Ok. ( FREE NU)
if you don't need these readings select in Settings BLUE "boxes"
better to have it as reference in case of dispute with BSNL.

Check speed here for making a record and graph showing speed variation. BSNL site not recommended.
