    Unhappy Port Hooking

    Hi
I have BSNL Teracom Type II ADSL2 Router with 4 ethernet port and 1 wifi port.i connect my laptop using WIFI. My problem is that am not able to transfer files between my laptop and PC when i connect my Laptop through WIFI and my PC through LAN to the router

But am able to transfer files between my Laptop and PC when i connect both of them to the router using LAN.

I even assigned IP manually to both the PC and Laptop, placed them under the same workgroup and even downed my Firewall.. still then i was not able to share.

My other problem is that when i give the MAC address of my Laptop in the WIFI configuration menu in the router , it is not recognizing it and rejecting it as an invalid MAC address. I got my MAC ID using Getmac command...

    Please help...

    Default

    TRY this:
    Start > run > cmd
    “arp -a” (without quotes)

this will list your current local interfaces and their MAC addresses
    or ipconfig /all
