Question BSNL disconnects when using wifi O.o

Hey so I got BSNL a few months ago as they were the first to be available in my new building. Service isn't that bad. Since the past maybe 6-7 days whenever I connect my Beetel 220bx to my WRT54G (DDWRT'd) to setup wifi, it connects for a 10-15 minute period (it varies a lot) , then the middle two lights of my Beetel modem (link and data) drop out and the modem reconnects (sometimes it keeps reconnecting in a never ending loop). The only way to regain wifi connectivity is to turn off both medem and router, turn on modem and wait for it to establish a connection, then turn of my router. In an attempt to solve this problem, I have tried the following configurations (all of them work, but they drop out as mentioned):
    1. Modem as a bridge, PPPoE settings fed into the router
    2. PPPoE settings fed into modem, router in automatic configuration- dhcp mode
    3. Modem in bridge mode, router in Router mode (not the usual gateway) with the modem connected to the router through on of the four LAN ports- I then login by clicking on the bsnl connection logo on my laptop desktop with the PPPoE settings I have fed.

Surprisingly, with a direct wired connection from the modem, the connection does not drop.

Please help me if you have any suggestion- just got an iPad and can't use the wifi normally cause of this bsnl crap

    Thanks

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/broadb...ys-wrt54g.html (Setup of UT-300R2 with Linksys WRT54G)
    para two :
    if still iPod cannot connect
Copy/paste here ipconfig /all data only for LAN and WLAN settings.
    ( No edit please )
    2. Change mod mode to GDMT and uncheck ADSL2+ box in DSL page of beetel 220Bx

I will suggest that you configure the Beetel modem in PPPoE mode and setup the WRT54G in bridge mode.

    Keep DHCP=ON at both places.

Thank you both for your suggestions. I reset everything and gave the PPPoE to the router. I think there was a problem in my splitter- (seems to be) working fine now.

    Thanks a bunch!
