Default Will police catch if po*n is D/L'd using utorrent?

Hi. Does BSNL track what users do and all. Is it okay to download po*n from HD sites using utorrent? Thanks in advance...

I doubt whether BSNL watches user activity. But they do keep a log - all ISPs have to keep a log. Changing DNS or using proxy may not help.

Downloading/watching/recording/distributing porn is an offence. So if the police catch you, you may be prosecuted. But they may be busy with other important matters.

My advice is not to do this too often.

Its not like that.According to current law, transmitting and exhibiting is offense.Downloading doesnt come under this statement.Because transmitter is the website. But uploading does come under this. Also sending porn via bluetooth etc.But actually there is no movement from government to stop this.If it was there they would have banned all these sites here. Then thats their mistake. If its available to you, then its not your mistake. So chill

But always be in safe side.Dont release or upload any scandal, porn videos. Its a risk.
If we think technically utorrent is also uploads the content so it does come under the statement.

OK from which site do you download this...?

Normal adult porn, generally, no one bothers.
But child-porn, they will definitely track.
Recently, an officer from the Armed Forces was caught and arrested while dealing in child-pornography.

i don't get it,ok distributing may be an offence but downloading, recording, watching?provided one is of legal age and the content is not child porn, actual rape, real snuff and some other catagory.please give link to indian cyber law.

also i would like to know how ISPs keep record of customer data transfer activity.am sure ISPs can keep record of sites visited but if the customer does not visit any po*n site and gets a po*n *.torrent file over a torrent program and then downloads that actual torrent file, how will the ISP know what file is being downloaded.

or better still (now this may sound crazy a bit),from the source side, the actual po*n video gets encoded in a digital format in many parts with different encoder following different algorithm whose decoder only exists with the source and the destination and gets distributed in many different parts over a file sharing network and to top it off, these different parts are hidden in between massive harmless looking codes which will require a special extraction program now beat that indian cyber police

    I second that.....

If they want to catch....they'd go for the warez sites promoting piracy in first place

Simply stay away from child porn and actual rape scenes.

But don't worry too much about downloading porn. There is abundance of users downloading these things, that's why such a huge number of sites exists on Web.

Don't know about police but if you don't take care of downloading from trusted sites viruses and malware may catch you.

And talking about BSNL guys, they don't even have time to pick up your calls.
Do you really think they will be monitoring each and every user?

    LOL. Very valid point.

Do you watch TV news or read the newspapers? What is top on the news?

    Bottomline: sex sells.
