    1.
Are you sure the USB port in the modem/unit is for connecting a printer/

    2.
Did you get an installation Cd and Usb drivers ?
usually the USB Port in a modem/router is meant for connecting to the USB port of the computer for Internet connection , like the LAN port.
    3.
Please check "teracom" link below. menu pages settings can be similar.
    4.
    Download "teracom" User manual.
    5.
If you are connected to Interent and can surf web sites,by connecting to LAN port, confirm.
    6.
Confirm you have a VOIP port where a telephone with Rj11 cable can be connected.
    7..
Post screen shot of device Info or connection status.

    1. This modem is manufactured by fujian star-net communications co., ltd., so, I visited their home page but I can not find v3.0 but v2.2 with same ports I have and there it is stated that usb port for attaching printers or external hard drives. I googled for this find there is a dlink model like this

    2. It is mentioned that there is a quick start cd-rom in packing list but there is none. Yes, my old ut300r2u usb port is used to connect my 2nd computer. But this is not case with AR800V.

    3. I will check the teracom link

    4. downloaded the manual web interface is like teracom

    5. Right now I am using AR800V and browsing internet through lan ports not checked wireless functionality as right now I have no laptop.

    6. My AR800V has two rj-11 jacks under one port it is dsl and under 2 one voip

    7. Attaching the image

I think the usb functionality was not provided in the firmware, if not provided in the hardware itself the usb led will not glow when you attach a device to the usb port. So, I am planning for firmware update or alternate firmware to get usb functionality.

By telnetting into the modem I found it is based on conexant chipset based router

similar model at fujian star-net site but it has got a lower v number.
    h t#p: / / www. star-net.cn/en/prd_view.asp?Colu_ID=26&id=93

Moreover, the usb port on this router is type A i.e. the type we find in computers and not the type B found in ut300r2u or on printers.

    WARNING
    AR800V v3.0 modem/router/wifi , voip port usb port etc.

if you got this modem model from BSNL, usually many options are disabled, for cost reduction, and trying
Firmware update will be a hazard and 'Injurious to the modem!"

    2.
Anyway Try "Always On" PPP/PPPoE connection ( Not "Bridged")
Enable DHCP. and UPnP boxes. Printer connected to Modem USB port may work.
    3.
I have usually referred Teracom model/s for this.
@meetdilip , I think has the same model.

    4.

appears you can connect directly from BSNL Phone junction to the DSL port with rj11 connector. Noted, and thanks for info.

    1. Yes, I got this modem from BSNL.

    2. I am on always on (PPPOE) Mode. When I connect printer to router USB LED glows but I cannot see the printer in router web management interface.

    4. A splitter/low pass filter is included in the package

Moreover, in the port statistics page I cannot find the usb port.

I think only plug and play devices will work in this set up. Both printer and modem needs drivers to work. It will detect but won't works just as in PC if you connect a printer without drivers. Not sure, just my opinion.

Like dhcp server that assigns ip address to our computers there will be print server in the router which detects the printer and the driver of the printer need to be installed in the computers/laptops connected to the modem but not on the local port but in the network and we put the path to the current printer like /192.168.1.1/myprinter. like that but it seems that this print server functionality and nas functionaly was not provided in the router firmware, if it was provided then we can connect the printer or external hard drive or a flash drive to the router directly and can print from any network computer or access the hard drive/flash drive . No need to keep the computer that is connected to the printer always on but we can print from any pc/laptop connected to the router. Is there a way to extend the firmware or can we get the unstripped firmware from the manufacturer?

    try 192.168.1.1/ secur_menu.html
    or 192.168.1.1/home1.html
    and under services
look for UPnP box. Also enable DHCP.

when i tried the above two address i got "It is possible you mistyped the address requested. please, check the address, or return to the home page."

    DHCP is enabled.

Under Services I can see IGMP proxy, IPv4 routing, IPv6 routing, Quality of Service and MAC Filtering options only can not see UPnP.

But when I use utorrent it is automatically able to receive incoming connections without configuring port forwarding whereas earlier my utstarcom I have to use port forwarding under virtual servers options. So, from this it appears that UPnP is there.
