    Default Is 2 to 8 really unlimited?

    I am using combo 600 plan.It says 2-8 unlimited.

    I have only downloaded 919.8 MB (that too including last month) during daytime.I've downloaded heavily during 2-8 though.

    My usage details:

    But in my usage summary they are showing 9000 MB of chargeable download.

    Now if 2-8 is unlimited then why the hell they've included all that download as chargeable?

    Can you cut/paste your usage record for the month here? You can hide personal details such as user-id, account number, etc.

    Indeed its unlimited but if you don't take care of your login session start and end time then it will HURT you, lots of users have fallen prey in that 2-8 time frame for instance if you logged in at 1:58 or 1:59 am then BSNL server will count it as normal usage not UL one and that server will log every MB you transfer thus it will charge you a fortune so better log in at 2:15am and reboot your modem to be on safe side.

    Are you sure that all your NU sessions start and end between 2- 8 slot ? Suppose you started the modem on 2.05 am and restarted the modem again at 7.58 am, start and end time fall in the 2-8 slot. But if you started using @ 9.00 pm and continues the session till 8.30 am, you will charged even for NU session.

    There are many softwares to automate this process. You may try Imran's Broadband Helper utility. You may also try this

    You may contact the accounts officer and get it sorted out - if you feel that you have indeed downloaded within the free time slot.

    I have never automated download.

    I start download manually well after 2 AM and reboot my modem 15 minutes prior to 8 AM.

    If you are sure that your downloads fall within 2 - 8 limit nothing to worry. Check your usage details and confirm whether any 2 - 8 usage is charged or not. Even if they are charged, you can talk to the accounts officer and convince him that the usage is between 2 - 8 slot.

    Please wait until the bill is generated. BSNL utilizes another server for billing purposes. What if the other billing server has correctly calculated the usage?
