    Default Is there anysoftware to check line attenuation and snr margin

    i check my snr and line attenuation values by logging in modem configuration page

    here is the result please check

    and the motive software doesnt configure my modem ,its never proceeds after some process.

    here is the information about my modem

    ADSL Port Enabled
    Downstream Line Rate 1907 kbps

    Default Gateway automatically set
    Primary DNS Server not currently set
    Secondary DNS Server not currently set
    Firmware Version ZXDSL 831AIIV1.0.1i_D18_IN
    MAC Address 00:19:C6:8A:B5:FE
    System Up Time 00:05:20s

    here it says that Default Gateway is automatically set and also the
    Primary DNS Server & Secondary DNS Server not currently set.
    where to change my dns to new open dns ????

    You can change your DNS on

    Network connections > Select your connection > Right click - Properties > TCP/IP properties > Change your DNS.

    You have given an internal link which will work only in PC. Take a screen shot and upload it in tinypic.

    For SNR and Attenuation, check this table,

    Although i changed it the values are not reflecting in my modem config page
    take a look


    and what about the software to check snr and line attenuation????
    here is my values
    Local SNRMargin 36.0 dB
    Local Line Attn 28.0 dB

    Remote Line Attn 15.0 dB
    Remote SNRMargin 8.5 dB

    here it shows local and remote which one should i compare??

    Local and remote are nothing but upload and download. If you change in TCP/IP, it will not reflect in modem. But it will work.

    @meetdilip thanks for assistance, i gave ur rep for this .because i was confused about this from long back.and you said its upload and download.will you please specify which is for upload and download
    for eg:local for download or remote for uplaod(just an example)
    i dont know about it

    What about the software to check snr and line attenuation????

    Local means at your end so, we can consider it as download
    Remote means at DSLAM end so, It can be considered as Upload.

    I hope, You, are clear now.

    I think that there is no such software for showing snr and line attunuation values.
