Thread: Limit increase in Home 500 plans

BSNL may increase the usage limit of Home 500 plans. There is no confirmation yet, but they have increased the usage limit of BB Home Rural Combo UL 500 from 4 GB to 6 GB as a promotional offer for 90 days. Similar to what they did in UL 750.

How much extra limit a urban user can expect?

May be 4 GB or 6 GB. It was the same last time. They test it before making it permanent.

In home combo plans, minimum speed still is 256 kbps will they make it 512 kbps?

But who gets the minimum speed in home combo plans..?
I was getting full 2mbps when I was in 500C+

Minimum speed is irrelevant. Most users get 150 + KBps.

Read the info on the link submitted above. Doesn't say anything about the plan in the city. Just so that I am clear...Do you mean the Home 500 plan (2.5 gb limit and NU upto 2 mbps) in the cities for the response to the question above??

I never said that they have increased. But there is a fair chance that they will increase for non rural customers too. Now it is just a promotional offer.

No. Rural plans are separate. Go to your exchange ask them to convert you into rural plans. They are cheaper than regular plans and gives more limit.

BSNL increased only the FUP limit on unlimited plans and it has nothing to do with the limit of limited plans. I dont see any changes in the limited plans in the near future especially after they slashed the rates for usage exceeding the free limit and increased the free calls.

Please check the link in first post. They have increased the limit for rural plan as a promotional offer. Hope you remember that we had a similar promotional offer for UL 750. I am just stating that there is a chance of increase.

I copied and pasted it from the link. It is still the FUP of UNLIMITED PLAN. I dont see any limited plans here

The point is, now BSNL feels that the limit of these plans need to be increased. Even though it is a promotional offer it may extend to other limited plans. It is just our hope. This link is the source of our hope. They have already increased the speed of unlimited plan. Earlier similar to this one, they offered it for 30 days. Now it is time for limited plans.
