Unhappy How to configure pppoe connection in ut300r2u bsnl modem

I'm using bsnl 500 combo plan and i use bridging mode. But i didn't get that much of speed , i get around only 80kb/s in utorrent . But my friend near to my house is using pppoe connection and the plan is same . But he gets around 200kb/s using utorrent . And also my SRN range is below 8 and line attenuation range is above 50 . Can i change this SRN range and line attenuation range using pppoe connection . Please help

    Additional details :

Modem or router name : UT300R2U ADSL
    Software Version : UT300R2U-0011.01
My SRN value : 6.6 FOR downstream and 6.2 for upstream
My LINE ATTENUATION RANGE : 66.0 FOR downstream and 36.8 for upstream

You can switch to PPPoE and check. Here is the link

    UT-300R2U ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION

I am not sure it will give you higher speed. To improve your SNR and attenuation, you need to change the line from junction box to your home. Talk to your line man.

    Try this

Very poor line conditions. SNR should improve and Attn should drastically reduce to say 20 or 30 dB.
Check your connectors for blackening/oxidization/ intermittent high resistance joints etc.
try the shortest connection to modem.
Keep only one Phone connected AFTER the ADSl Splitter/
Check statistics line speed and rate now and report any improvement .
You can also try GDMT mode ( in DSL page) and uncheck adsl2+
    Feedback.

I checked only GDMT and my phone has also a problem , we can hear the voice through phone when our neighbour is talking through . Will this effect the line attenuation ? . If i report to bsnl exchange , will they correct things off ?

Phone connection and BB connection are independent.
    (a)Phone may work BB down
    (b) BB working Phone Down
    (c) Both Phone/BB down
if your ADSL splitter is connected properly
( All Phone connections AFTER the PHONE Port in Splitter)
BB signals will improve as prevented from entering telephone instrument.
( Even otherwise BB signals reach DIRECTLY the modem input ! with or without splitter. )
