For a new user there could be questions. The user may be reading an existing thread that matches his/her problem. It could contain a solution to the problem but the user is still not satisfied or has another small query. The user could post the question right there or create a new thread.

So what I said is:

- if there is an old thread where question is asked and there has been no activity for over a month, assume that the thread starter has got his problem resolved
- the thread may or may not contain a solution but since the thread is old no need to post a solution (you can do so if you like but probably no one may require it).
- but a new user could come up and post "Hey, I have the same problem! Any solution?". Or "The solution does not seem to be working for me". Then of course you can post a solution.

Please note that I am not ordering anybody. This is just my suggestion.

What I welcome everyone of you to do is create a guide for generic solutions and post them in the "How to" section. That will become the stanadard repository.
