Hi everyone,
Few weeks ago, i was posting for outright purchase of modem after having it on rent for few months..... I gave an application to the CS centre here and WOW, BSNL lived upto its reputation.... They charged me full amount of Rs 1000 + Tax for the modem this month. And the bill says "Modem purchase adjustment details" !!!!! There is no adjustment here, its outright payment of full amount and the Modem deposit (Rs 500/-) is nowhere taken into account.![]()
Why am i mad???
1) I had explicitly mentioned in the application that i wrote to BSNL that i have BB connection from 2009 and i have paid the Modem deposit while taking on rent. I've clearly mentioned that pls adjust this modem deposit + the rentals paid till now (50 % of rental paid to be accounted as per BSNL). And they are now asking me total amount just like that!!!
2) I'm feeling this is outright cheating and stealingWhat do they think, that i grow money on trees??? How can they just overlook the basic information that the customer pays modem deposit before renting it???? And not have common sense of adjusting the deposit against the purchase of modem? The deposit has no meaning after i purchase it, so there is no question of reimbursing it when i surrender the connection. So that is ruled out since the deposit has to be given back as soon as i buy it outright.
3) What's not helping my anger is that they never mention ALL the deposit charges while someone is applying. Look how many deposits and installation charges i've paid :
NON OYT. TEL app. deposit = 500/-
Modem deposit = 500/-
Security deposit = 500/-
Advanced rental deposit (Tel) = 500/-
NPC- inst. charges = 500/-
Inst fee broadband = 250/-
And there is no hint of these NPC inst., etc while applying. There is no mention of initial bill and deposits explicitly. Okay, this is another matter.
Now, pls guys, tell me how i can resolve this purchase issue, i'm just not ready to pay 1000 Rs for this old modem and let go of my modem deposit i've paid.

), so they can have it back since you have just paid rentals on that effectively and you have to return it to the owner (BSNL).
I'll not pay until they adjust it against the deposit.
