Post Plan change from 750UL PLUS to HOME 500C or HOME 500C+.

    hi friends...
3 months back i have been used 500C plan..
and i was addicted to the rapid downoad speed of 200KBps + ...

sometimes i start my download at 2.00AM and sleep.. then i ll wake up at after 8.00AM.. it will cross my NU time and will be running in general time and my download limit will be going off...

So, i have changed to 750UL PLAN to avoid too much billing issues...
which gives me 60KBps of download speed...
but now i am thinking of changing my plan again to HOME500C or HOME500C+...
please can any one tell me which one to choose...

so, please help me... which plan to choose... i am looking at the HOME500 plan ...

    please reply me fast.........

You can automate the process of downloading during 2 - 8. Try this

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/broadb...oad-night.html (Automate Download at Night)

You can choose any of the home 500 plans. Choose Home 500 if you need to use your land line for calls also. Combo is for users who do not use the land line much for calls. Home 500 has only 1.5 GB during day time. So you can choose Home 500 or Home 500 C+.

List of all plans and tariff from BSNL

    Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.

    Hope this helped.

    Question

but i am not able to download the "imrans automated download" ....
i have another doubt in my mind...

recently the bsnl had changed their broadband tariff's..
they changed the free calls for HOME 500C+ from 50 to 250.....
this means that will they reduce the speed of the connection...

at the time when i used HOME 500C.. i got the speed in between 200 to 224... not more than that...

but the actual speed for an 2MBps connection is 250KBps.. na..........

and also... what happens if i keep my modem-ON at regular day time...... will the bsnl will count it..... as usage....

    please reply me....

    Auto-connect Download scheduler PC-Gyaan

Search the forum for " Schedulers "

Speed will be up to 2 Mbps. You may get somewhere around what you got earlier.

Please mention the mode you use. PPPoE or Bridge ?

Even if the start and end times do not fall in the 2 - 8 slot, you can talk to the accounts officer and ask for adjustment.

I am using 500c plan and I found it best for me, it was not difficult to schedule torrent or warez site like Rapidshare, hotfile or megaupload. I always start download at 2:02:00AM and stop at 7:59AM and u know I never wake up at 2am because I have made all things automatic. My computer automatic power on at 2:00AM and connect to internet at 2:02am and download start automatically, I use torrent and Jdownloader for warez site because it has schedule download system, and automatically shutdowns at 7:59am. It give me a download speed of 200KB/s, and in 6hrs I download 3.5GB of data every night without waking up. I dont leave my modem power on, it is also automatic I have attached a 'relay' with my modem and when my computer gets power on then a 'relay' get a power and my modems on, and it becomes off when my computer get off.
This fully automatic system help me save energy.

I use "Wake up on Standby and Hibernation" this is the software which automatic ON your computer when Hibernate, and use dap to connect via password. and torrent download starts. And that software shutdowns your computer and 8:00AM.

    This helps me a lot!!!!!!!!

    Click on Start then Hibernate
and take a comfort sleep and wake up in 9 or 10am in the morning.

PPPoE - ID and password stored in the modem. You can connect to net by simply switching ON the modem.

Bridge - ID and password stored in dialer. You need to click " disconnect " or shut down computer to disconnect the connection.

Since you are in PPPoE, even switching Off the computer won't disconnect. Most schedulers have option to reboot modem automatically at desired time.

Both are same. But if you want to connect more than one system independently, your only option is PPPoE mode. There are different tools which work in both modes. Choose the one which you find easier.

You can switch between PPPoE and bridge by logging into the modem. Please mention your modem - model and make.

Yes you are right I have relay therefore I am using it, otherwise when I switch to Hibernate at 11PM then I have to leave my modem ON for 3hours for no use and also becomes hot, therefore I use relay to get it power ON at 2am when computers on. It is not a circuit, it is similar like this

It runs with 12volts which I get from computer power supply, when relay gets power the modem get ON and OFF when shutdown. simple
I not use PPPOE because I have limit of 1.5GB. Changing your connection to bridge in the day and PPPOE in the night is . therefore I use DAP to connect to internet on bridge.
    See here hows it works

Computer wake up at 2am, connect at 2:02:00am and shutdown at 8am.
By using this I save my bandwith which may be wasted on PPPOE.
One more best feature in DAP is it gets reconnect when your computer get disconnected. I only use DAP for this feature not for downloading.
To prevent my modem to get too hot I use cabinet fan connected to power supply which cools my modem and I can also stay connection even for 24hrs without fearing that my modem is getting hot.

    I think this may help!!!!

Follow the steps I mentioned. You will be able to do it. It is not difficult. The main difference between Bridge and PPPoE is that in Bridge all ports are open. No need to port forward.

    Hi
PPPOE is also says as "Always ON" connection means, you do not need to connect to Internet just ON the modem wait for stable and start surfing, as ur user id and pass was required while configuring PPPOE. and on the other hand in Bridge you need user id and pass to connect to Internet, I think you may be doing this every time. If u want to use more than one pc or WLAN then u need to configure to PPPOE.

To configure to PPPOE go through this

Type 192.168.1.1 in the adress bar, on being asked type both user id & password as admin

    click on ADSL >> WAN

    In the 35_1 line (usually the first line) click on Edit;

    Click on next

Select PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) & then click on Next

In the page that appears next provide the user id & password you use to connect to the internet

PPP Username: ((Type your user id in this field))
PPP Password: ((Type your password in this field))

check last two options leave the other options

    Click on Next

Ensure that Enable NAT & Enable Firewall are checked

    Click on Next

    Click on Save

and when your modem restarts u will see Internet light is glowing.
    start surfing.

192.168.1.1 is a local address in your computer. Please post the screen shot of the landing page.

You may post it as hxxp://www.domain.com instead http://www.domain.com.
