[QUOTE=ttk;15927]BSNL Dataone UTStarcom WA3002-g1 - Type II Modem

my notebook is Dell XPS M1530

    Intel(R) 4965AGN Wireless-N Mini-Card

Still I am unable to connect internet, (Access : Local)
i tried several options but nothing was working.

    Pl help.

If you still facing the above problem, probably i can help you..
I just registered today & saw your problem...

BSNL broadband requires you to additionally connect through a dialup pppoe connection.. after getting local connection. You are already locally connected. Now folloe the following steps:

I suppose you are using windows vista...

If yes, goto Start menu -> connect to -> Below there is a link "Set up a connection or network" click on it. -> Select the first option "Connect to the Internet" -> then it will ask How do you want to connect, select "Broadband (PPPoE)" and next... Then, enter the username & password provided by bsnl, give it desired connection name and click connect..

    You are done...
Now, every time u want to connect to the internet, first connect to ur wireless network, once connected use this dialup connection. Then, u can browse the net...

I hope this helped u solve ur problem..
You can contact me at bhatiasahil2005@gmail.com for any further queries or post in the forum...

I have subscribed email notification for ur post, so should be able to answer u quickly..

    Take care....

Default WA3002G4 with SAP2100 Linksys Voip

    Hello

Could any one guide me the configuration method. When I installed the new G4 Modem the Voip worked for a day and subsequently it didn't work. No dial tone . What would have been the reason? It was working perfectly with Type I modem ,the problem faced after installation of G4 modem.

The net connectivity is working well.

    Any body can guide me.

    Regards
    Vkumar

    1.
Mention your VOIP unit model /make
    Also Vonage etc.

    2.
Did you try with the old modem again ?
    ( mention make /model )

Once VOIP is connected properly and VOIP
phone works, the computer ethernet cable
can be connected from the VOIP unit.

    3
If Vonage type 192.168.15.1 IDrouter PW router
    confirm settings are accessed.
Or do you get error messages in the LCD screen ?

    4.
Repowering the voip unit usually restore the service.
Since you say it worked for a day with wa 3002-G4

    Default heyy

    heyy,

I am not able to even connect to broadband when tried to change the bridge connection to PPPoA/PPPoE. My system configuration is exactly similar to yours with two laptops with win7 and win Xp and WA3002g1 type 2 modem. Please help me to connect to multiple PCs at the same time. If possible please email me the method to ashish.goyal15@gmail.com

    Regards,
    Ashish

I have read many threads about hotmail and other websites not opening on BSNL Data One connection. I have the same problem and I have tried all the suggested solutions that I have found here or elsewhere. I am hoping maybe someone else may have some other ideas as well.

Here is a detailed view of my setup:

BSNL Data One ADSL Router/Modem: UTStarcom WA3002-g1
    Two laptops;
    1. Win XP Professional
    2. Win Vista Home Premium

I had initially setup the modem in bridge mode and had no issues accessing any website. Then I switched to PPPoE mode to allow access to multiple devices on the same wireless network. Since then, I have had issues with hotmail and msn.

I have tried OPEN DNS servers, changed the MTU from 1500 to 1492 and 1452 but no use. I did multiple restarts, modem resets, ipconfig/flushdns etc. but no use.

I tried pinging hotmail.com but I got no response. I tried multiple modes (flood mode, etc.) but got no response in any mode.

Then I switched back again to bridge mode on my PC. Now I can access hotmail but this is not an ideal solution as now I can only connect one PC at a time. Does anyone know why hotmail and msn fail only in PPPoE mode?

I am sure this is not a DNS issue as this fails only in PPPoE mode. Also, when I type hotmail.com in Firefox, I can see it contacts the servers and in the status bar I can see it change the name to mail.live.com but it never completes the transfer and the page never loads. After sometime I get an error saying page is taking too long to load or transfer was interrupted. I have tried different browsers as well and I get the same issue everywhere.

Now, I even tried to access hotmail via mobile.live.com on my Motorola wifi enabled phone and it opened up in it and I was able to access that site. It just makes no sense why it does not open on either of my PCs.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,

    AK

check my signature link Beetel450TCI for screen shots etc.
Select One PVC say PVC0 enter VPI/VCO 0 and 35 etc
    Rest deactivate to avoid confusion.
( anyway all will show snr/attn in device info page !)

    Briefly:

Enable DHCP in LAN menu page.
    All systems TCP/IP properties IPV4
    obtain Ip addresss automatically.
Confirm you get connected in lanmode/wifi mode single system.
    Feedback.
