Thread: Advise to minimize my bill, if out of station for 3 months

As I will not be home for another 3 months. Is it better to disconnect broadband and reconnect when i return to avoid unnecessary rental on my broadband. Only telephone incoming service is enough for this period. Kindly advise a suitable plan for telephone also.

Depends on the tariff plan you have.
I was advised to change over to the lowest tariff plan to retain the BB connection.
surrender the modem if on rental basis.

Thanks 4 reply. I am on Home Combo 750 Unlimited plan. I have purchased the modem.

Shift to BBG 125. Rs. 125 per month. Otherwise you need to surrender your connection. And getting a new connection takes time.

update : After getting regular bill for BB ( June 2010) sent email to D.E.
Now my bill has been revised and BB disconnected.

My modem has been considered as SALE instead of rental.

I have to apply for a new BB connection later. in DEC 2010.
Telephone connection retained.
Changing to Lowest BB plan for short period : advised as above.
