Thread: how to connect cell phone with wifi router

Hi all,

I have nokia-siemens wifi router. I would like to connect my samsung corby pro (B5310) mobile phone with that. Please tell me the steps.

I searched the forum and tried to follow the steps but all i get in my phone is "service unavailable".

Also, can i connect both my lappy and mobile phone together in parallel with my wifi modem

Yes. You can connect both laptop and phone at the same time.

1. Configure the modem in PPPoE mode.

2. Enable DHCP in your modem.

3. In the TCP/IP properties of your connection, set " Obtain IP addresses automatically.

Try and post the result.

I was able to connect my phone with wifi, but only by hard-coding ip and DNS address as mentioned here...calcuttatelephones.com/dataoneinstall/mu10.html]SL2_141 (Type-B) ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION
