Might be because of name resolution is slow.
Try opendns name servers rather than obtain dns address automatically.
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220.
go to local area connection properties internet connection(tcp/ip)
    use the following dns servers

I don't understand why people keep recommending changing dns servers ...
Even if you do, the latency difference is negligieble.

It can never address 200ms+ latencies to foreign websites or severe packet loss.
Can people stop making these suggestions ?

If anything disconnecting and reconnecting (if you are on Bridged), sometimes gives you a better route.

The bsnl problem right now has absolutely nothing to do with bad dns servers.

    Ping statistics for 192.168.0.1:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Average = 0ms

you posted pings to your modem, that won't yield any useful information; try pinging a distant server (somewhere in the US or EU)

    try :
    Code:
    ping www.cnet.com /t
then paste results over 20ish tries

I think you also check your settings
    like
    IP's
    DHCP
    Firewalls
Try establishing the connection all over again
try keeping 1 pc on wireless and others normal
Ya DNS using opendns is definitely better than the bsnl ones but no great change is observed in speed so you are kind of wasting your time unles you need it's other services.

This only shows your connection to your router.
Try tracert and it will provide more insight.
