    Talking Unethical bsnl: Prompt to reduce speed, not to restore

    The speed of my 1350 UL Home connection was reduced from 2 mbps to 512 kbps very religiously, presumably after download of 15 GB. The same should have been restored to 2 mbps with equal promptness on the 1st of August, which did not happen. Have the concerned officials of BSNL any sense of ethics?

    Same happened to me while using ULF 1100. It took till evening for speed increase. Check the speed in evening and report. Also if you never switch off the modem, do it now. Your speed won't increased unless modem is restarted.

    Such errors are singular. Won't happen in wide scale. Most of the customers gets their plan changed by midnight.

    I'm having that problem too, it's technically 2nd August. I don't think this is an isolated problem.

    And I know meetdilip will have no post after this assertion. For information of all forum members, the same thing happened today on 1st of September, speed remains unchanged at 512 kbps. I have to run to the BSNL's so-called "experts" and so-called "senior officials" as meetdilip would like to call them but we dont, to get back the speed to 2 mbps. I know meetdilip is a BSNL agent or a BSNL sympathiser. Why is he not taking up the feedback to BSNL people and solving the problem once and for all instead of trying to defend the indefensible?

    I would like to say "sorry" to meetdilip for the unkind words I used in the forum yesterday. I was so frustrated at the repeat of the same problem this month that I poured out which I wish I should not have.

    Meetdilip was right what he said in the beginning of the thread; the speed was restored towards afternoon today, i.e., 1-9-2010.

    I agree BSNL does care, but unfortunately it appears they follow a principle: Dont feed the baby as long as it does not cry.
