Thread: 16mbps plan:download is fine BUT sites loads Slow

Hi

I got weird problem my download from rapidshare or other downloading sites are fine i.e. 600-800kbps i.e. download 700mb movie in 10-12 mins max

BUT sites dont open fast as they use to get open on my other reliance 3.1mb datacard

ALSO if i run some software that register multiple accounts on various forums etc... its also slow then reliance ( that software also works in browser mode)

please suggest what settings do i need to make it open sites fast too

ALSO ... videos on youtube etc... also load slow then reliance ... they continue get loading a times

connection: always ON internet via modem (id pass added in modem)

ip: 192.168.1.20
subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

preferred dns:

218.248.255.146

hi, Fine here. It will help your page loading as at least one of them will work.

what to set as IP address / subnetmask etc ... OR should i keep it as "Obtain automatically"

What IP you are getting from BSNL ?
is it 117 or 59

Try disabling ipv6 from tcp/ip properties of your lan/wifi connection.Just out of curiosity I am asking, what do you do with 16 mbps connection?

If someone is spending Rs. 5,514 (Rs. 4,999 plus tax) per month to download movies from rapidshare, I question the good sense. This money amounts to over Rs. 66,000 per year for downloading movies and that too 700 MB AVI/Xvid quality!!!

My entire movie collection of all originals is worth a little less Rs. 200k. What I get in return is supeb picture, awesome 5.1 channel sound and wholesome movie experience.

But to each his own and what they want to do with their money.

will do ipv6 thing .... BUT will that really help ??

ya im doing mix stuff with that connection ... movies games etc... i love high speed
