    Exclamation modem problem

    Hi myself ashish
I am using bsnl internet for last six months. For this period my modem was on rent, last to last month I purchased my modem by submitting a written application.
But when i get my last month bill they have added rs1600 in my bill.
My security for the modem and rent which i pay has not been adjusted.

What should I do. I have also consulted bsnl karamcharis but have not get any satisfactory answer till date.

Call customer care, ask the no. of accounts officer and talk to him. He is responsible for correcting errors. It is quite common when you buy modem from BSNL.

If nothing works, complain to Nodal officer and / or appellate authority. ID and phone no. on the backside of your bill.

Rs. 1,600 will not be returned to you. For that amount, you have your modem. Since you have paid for your modem, they should not have charged Rs. 1,600. You are eligible for refund. The guy at BSNL is bluffing. Don't listen to him.

i disconnected my BB connection , and retained my modem taken on rental basis ( since March 2007)paid Rs 15 by availing 50% discount of the total rent paid towards cost price (Rs 1000/=)
Since i intend to reconnect in Dec 2010, not pursuing the refund of security Deposit for the modem . later will be adjusted towards BB rent etc.
    2. YOU can retain the modem purchased by you and use for any other ISP( not cable type)
    3.
Check details in bill for July 2010 and give feedback here.
    4.
If you had paid any Security Deposit ( either for modem on rent or for tariff plan Home 750 etc ) , all will be refunded at the time your telephone connection is disconnected.
