Thread: Internet is connecting directly throgh modem but not through any router

Dear friends I have a Rs. 250 per month plan in my office. It is a business plan. I am able to connect to the internet using the Huavei MT880 modem, but when i connect my Netgear WGR614v7/v9 router the internet light does not go from yellow to green even after running the wizard and thus there is no internet connection. I have also tried using a Belkin router with inbuilt modem, the same setup works on my home connection but not in the office. what can be the reason? I have been cracking my brains on this since many days but to no avail!

Start > Run >cmd >ipconfig/all, post the screen shot.

for connecting adsl modem (can be any make ) and WIFI router ( any bRAND )

ENABLE dhcp IN MODEM ( USUALLY in LAN page) Give a range say 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.10

try PPP/PPPoE ( "always On" userID/PW entered in WAN page )

in all systems desktop/laptop computers
Network settings page
TCP/IP properties
Select "Obtain IP address automatically "

Start RUN type cmd OK

Copy/Paste data here .only for LAN and WLAN. ( If OS is Vista etc, Tunnel data not required )
