    Default dnload speed

    hello dear BBusers

i have a question regarding dnload speed as the dnload speed for ul750 plan has been increased to 512 Kbps ( 64 KBps) it is understood that we cannot get the stated speed due to some technical snags but with 512 Kbps what could be the max dnload speed expected . I had been noticing the dnload speed after change over to 512Kbps is not exceeding 44 to 45 KBps ,no matter what ever dnload portal i use ( Rapid share , Mega share , hotfile , megaupload etc )with torrents i can get a max of 50 KBps .With unltd 1350 connection the dnload speed goes beyond 200KBps need your sujjestions to F%$K bsnl B*$#*%*s on this matter ( if we r cheated ) on speed test portals it shows 370Kbps for worldwide test and 500Kbps for local server

For 512 Kbps you can get 50 to 60KBps DL speed, check the torrent download speed, thest with utorrent, you can see what is your DL speed.

Unlimited 1350 giving 200KBps speed because the plan your talking it's ULF 1350.

    1. Check your speed by downloading any file from Microsoft and report.

    2. Torrents should have high seed to peer ratio to attain the maximum speed.

I am using UL 750 in which I get around 60 - 70 KBps from Cnet. My torrents however is stuck between 55 - 60 KBps. I got an upload speed of around 50 KBps while using two torrents at the same time.

Just checkout http://192.168.1.1 that is there any Super Frame Errors. If they are large in count then there is a problem else you are getting full speed. I too got around 223 KB/s in my 2 Mbps plan and that was stable.

Speed of torrent file depends on a lot of factors. You need to do port forwarding, use torrent with high seed to peer ratio etc. Try any linux torrent and check the speed.

Download any file from Microsoft and check the speed on direct downloads.
