Thread: Need to know about 749 unlimited plan

I am from chennai .
I planned to get this 749 unlimited home combo plan in BSNL, which has 512kbs speed.
I need Full information about it. I would like to know below things,


1) Whether this is good plan , How is the speed and all , U can suggess any good unlimited plans?

2) What is the actual downloading speed its providing ?

3) Whether billing and all is normal or its changing every month ?

4) How is the customer service and all in chennai ?

5) If I ask the connection how long it will take to get the connection ?

6) What type of modem they are providing normally , How its working ?

7) What is the monthly internet bill with tax for this plan ?

8) What is beneficial thing for us , buying new modem or getting rental modem from them ?

9) Whether speed is consistent ?

10) If I buy the modem what is the first installation charge and if I get the rental modem what is the first installation charge ?

Please answer my above questions, and clear my doubts.

Welcome to IBF. I think you are talking about UL 750.

1 , 2 . I am using this plan. Gets 60 - 70 KBps on good servers. Upload went up to 50 KBps.

3. Billing will be monthly. But you can also opt for annual payment.

5. 1 to 2 weeks. If lucky you will get in the same week. Make necessary follow ups.

6. You can choose a wifi or non wifi modem. You make an outright purchase or get it for monthly rent.

8. I am using it on rent.

9. For me it is consistent. Hope your line condition is OK.

Hi meetdilip and all, I intend to get home UL 750. Kindly help me to check on speedtest.net on a Singapore server and post the result here. I am very much interested on a upload speed. Thank you.

When I use two torrents at the same time, I get upload speed of around 50 KBps. You can expect a minimum of 40KBps.

There is no download quota (FUP). It is purely unlimited. Speed test results are not much reliable these days. I get around 65 KBps. If line conditions are good, you can get at least 55 KBps.

Sounds interesting, the speed actually fluctuates heavily. It could be due to the main server (speedtest.net) stationed elsewhere. I am considering UL 750 plan. Hopefully BSNL continue to upgrade its network and speed without raising the tarrif, in future. Thanks.

Yes, agreed it is the only plan of it's kind, where no other operators wants to roll out such a plan. Even if they do, it is much costly. Keep it up BSNL!
