Lightbulb How to connect Nokia Siemens C2110 with D-Link DIR-300 ?

I'm having a desktop and a laptop and I want to connect my BSNL provided Nokia Siemens C2110 to the D-Link DIR-300 so that I can share the internet with the laptop simultaneously and also wants to create a WLAN network between the two. I want an "always-on" WiFi network.

    I'm having the following doubts...

    1. Should I use Bridge/PPPoE mode in Nokia Siemens C2110 ?

    2. Should I enable/disable DHCP in Nokia Siemens C2110 ?

    3. Which cable should I use to connect Nokia Siemens C2110 with D-Link DIR-300, a normal network cable or a Crossover cable ?

    4. I'm planning to connect the Nokia Siemens C2110 with the Internet port of D-Link DIR-300 and will connect my desktop to one of the LAN ports of D-Link DIR-300. Is this proposed connection right ?

Please provide me with the best future friendly and reliable advice...

Configure NOKIA C2110 in bridge mode
and configure dir-300 to dial the connection
you can use either straight/crossover cable
but connect the uplink port of dir-300 to ethernet port of nokia C2110.

You can connect the pc to ethernet port of dir-300.

In this mode c2110 is used as only modem and all routing functions are handled by DIR-300. DIR-300 has certainly provide more options than C2110 with respect to routing and if you use C2110 as router and your DIR-300 will be used only as a switch and wireless access point. In my opinion using C2110 as bridge and DIR-300 to dial the connection and router is better option. In this case you have to disable the dhcp function in DIR-300.

    Finally got it working...

    1. Enabled DHCP & PPPoE in Nokia.

    2. Disabled DHCP in D-Link.

    3. Connected the Internet cable from the BSNL modem to one of the LAN port in lieu of the Internet(WAN) port of D-Link.

    4. Enabled the Wireless option and connected one of the desktop to the LAN port of D-Link.
