Which plan are you using ? Mention the speed you are getting. Whatever you may use, you won't get anything more than your plan speed. This may help

    1. Type 192.168.1.1 in your browser. ID and password admin.

    2. Post the screen shot of landing page.

Talk to the Senior Divisional Engineer (SDE). Ask him to reset your port so that you will get 8 Mbps. This is due a barrier set by BSNL in your port at your exchange. Ask him to set it in such a way that you get 8 Mbps. Another member too did like this last day.

If nothing works, complain to Nodal officer or Appellate authority. ID and phone no. on the backside of your bill.

Get your line checked by line man. Ask him to remove joints and replace cables with torn away insulation.

You need to talk to someone at exchange get your port fixed. Also you need to change the Downstream and Upstream rate which supports 8 Mbps.

From the stats it appears that line attenuation is high so ask the lineman to check the line.
