    line man visited my house few hours back only as my internet is not working due to broken line now the internet is working but downstream line rate is too loo !

    what should i do? any suggestions ?

    here in g.lite mode only

    Max speed for G.Lite is 1.5m , change profile to g.dmt mode atleast and if SNR falls or internet disconnects frequently then ask line tech to recheck line.
    Or may be $$$request$$$ him to change the complete line from pole to socket.
    Also make sure all devices are filtered and you don't have parellel lines inside house and also line from modem to socket is not too. long.

    Would also advise you to connect modem in isolation (connect modem straight to socket without any phones or filter.splitter) and check downstream speed in g.dmt profile.

    i dont think so that g.lite supports 1.5 mbits max here is g.lite mode

    and they are giving me quite a good speed in home 500 plan !(after both g.dmt and g.lit modulations simultaneously)

    Apart from the speed, is your connection stable?
    With those snr figures getting a stable connection is not possible.

    @arpit60
    If you change the ADSL mode to G.DMT and it does not change downstream line rate to 2048kbps then it is sure that your port speed on DSLAM set to 1024Kbps which is 1Mbps. For changing the port speed contect SDE or DE internal for assentance.
