Thread: BSNL Broadband India's Worst Broadband

Hii Friends,

I have a Cyber Cafe recently I came to know about New Plan Business1500Combo with 25 GB Limit.So I applied for that plan while I disconnected the previous plan Business1111 and took it as a New Connection with 1year Advance payment.
It took 10days for the Lightning speed BSNL officials to provide me the new plan...with day to day new problems they are generating.

All I want know is Is BSNL deserves to b the broadband provider??

Post the exact problem you are facing. Somebody might be able to help.

Who are the other Broadband providers with same data usage/cost etc ?

You are running a business, and for a fair profit from your cyber cafe, you MUST have selected BSNL !!!
Presume you DISCONNECTED Business 1111 and had no BB for ten days.
Now your data usage will be on Pro rata basis. for this month .
Hope you considered this.

No sir, we dont have any second option other than BSNL...while asking why it took 10 days to a higher officer they told one of the person who is in charge (of modifying plans)is on a leave for 10 days...!!!

One more thing here I want to know.... why bsnl is not giving a Secured Broadband Connection to all its users? Even a 10std kid knows the "PASSWORD" of BSNL users....while earlier where there is the era of SANCHARNET ,ppl have to buy the Card and it is somewat SECURRED..other than DATAone....It is wrong to use someone else's account but they only are allowing such things....just try it with bridging mode and use some names and PASSWORDs to find the usernames with no portbining

I think recent connections are port binded. You can also request your exchange to port bind your connection.

What happened to you is really sad.If I am correct, now a days your plan will be activated from your date of application (not sure though). Check with someone at your local exchange.

But all the other users who dont know wat is port binding and what will happen if their port is not binded ....wat about them? If they wll get a Huge Amount then who is responsible? BSNL,the HACKER or the subscriber ?

How does one access the Internet in your cyber cafe from different system/s?
Do you use Dialer mode or
"Always On' mode PPP/PPPoE ( Your userID/PW entered in wan page )
Please give details of the setup. modem used/hub or switch etc.

Mention your location in Karnataka and Exchange to make a complaint online.

Sir It is possible to access someones account if its not port binded anywhere in INDIA!!!u can just try it with Bridging Mode,then make a dialup connection and try different usernames (take BSNL DIRECTORY for NAMES) and PASSWORD ;-) and tell me ...also look for BigShot IT Companie as U Name!!!

BSNL Broadband via landline can be accessed only from a single Telephone number.
for post paid connections .
If you use prepaid cards, you can connect to BSNL broadband from ANYWHERE in India
from a BSNL landline. ( own modem or any modem on Dialer Mode )
Check BSNL tariff page given below.

If in your Cafe , anyone having his own BSNL ID/PW can access Internet
please give details. Also the modem used.

BSNL Telephone directory does not contain Broadband user Id and password !
All telephone users need not have broadband connection!

No Sir it is possible to access some1 else's account via landline who is a Postpaid User...about directory it is just for name reference.....for example say a name rajesh and password as password.....in bridging mode just try with different names and same password.....

Port Bindinding has nothing to do with the huge amount or measely usage amount you Get.... If you lack the simple common sense to change your Ethernet Mac Address from time to time , its your fault .. You Do that and keep a Cfos Internet Booster or something of the type , it wont let your ISP Disconnect you even if your Line has been disconnected . Enable the Constant Finger TCP ISP Option in the Applications you use for the Internet Boost . It ensures that others wont be able to use your Internet . Secondly , Donot use Third party Products or Browsers . If you can make one for yourself do that , and if you cant , Just use the Windows Internet Explorer or any that your Operating System comes with and keep updating it , 3rd , Go for Eset Antivirus Solutions and NOT any other .... The Reason is that Eset's Detection is very Appreciatable and it Doesnt allow Leeching and ICMPs from Other Protocols and hosts.... I am a blackhat myself , Without an Icmp Reply someone else cannot connect to your PC . You Speak of Hacking least you donot know what Hacking means ... Google the Word Hacking and learn about it before you speak ... Interference in Other's PC and Data is not hacking, It is Spoofing. I use 500C+ plan as I found it best for me , At Night free Download time I get Upto 785 kbps download speed from Torrents and Warez Alike .... I manage to download about 9 GB Per Night along with Gaming all night . There are certain softwares to decrease your usage by Increasing the QoS and MTU of your Connection , you can Achieve 2 times More the Speed just by Unlocking 80% of your Duplex from Modem Config . There is a Lot you can learn instead of Saying BSNL is crap . Actually a BSNL modem when Configured Properly and with a Good Tweaked PC is a Godly connection.

This is one promising post I have read in this forum. I am looking for some thing like this.. Can you post an article 'step by step' to get the maximum benefit from BSNL? ( I am asking for simple, non-intimidating technical words)
