    Default How to do port forwarding in my modem nokia siemens 1600

    i dont no how to do port forwarding.however i watched some videos ,but it is helpless.So kindly explain me how to forward the ports

    Default i already did that

    thank u for ur quick responce.but i already did that.wat they r saying in that site is to buy pfconfig.i somehow downloaded it and used other registration code.but its saying that i want to buy a new registration code.

    is there any other way to do port forwarding.PLEASE give me the step by step procedure.

    Mention your modem/model/make .
    You must be connected in "Always On" PPP/PPPoE mode
    ( userID/PW entered in wan page of modem ).
    If you use Dialer mode ( userID/PW in computer window
    no portforwarding required

    Ya. If you have only one system, better to switch to bridge mode where all ports are open.

    Thank u friends,for ur kind reply.i checked my modem and it is already configured in PPPoE mode.but there is no option called port triggering in my modem.The options available in my modem are given below..
    ADSL(Under ADSL option)
    -----------
    Device Info
    DSL Status
    WAN
    LAN
    Password
    DSL Settings
    Reboot

    Wireless(Under wireless option)
    ----------
    Basic
    Security
    MAC Filter
    Advanced
    Station Info

    Did you uncheck "bridged" in wan page and select PPP/PPPoE ?

    Default How to check?

    i was connected to the mode PPPoE.But i dont know to check that it is always on?Please give me instruction

    How do you connect to internet ? Simply by switching ON the modem or clicking " connect " on your dialer. If the former, you are in PPPoE / Always ON mode.

    1.Type 192.168.1.1/scvrtsrv.cmd?action=view======>> For Virtual server
    2..Type 192.168.1.1/scprttrg.cmd?action=view ====>> For Port triggering.
    3.Type 192.168.1.1/scdmz.html ======>>> For DMZ

    Friends as said by u i went to this link.then i did all works as said in another link .And i saved the changes.But the speed is not improved....

    recheck speed above.Post results.

    the speed before iinstalling tcp is
    Download speed:115kbps(17.1Kb/s)
    upload speed:429Kbps(39.1KB/s)
    Then i installed TCP optimizer.Now the speed is
    Download speed:313kbps(39.1Kb/s)
    upload speed:249Kbps(31.1KB/s)
    but the speed in u torrent is still around 35 KB/s

    .Please post Statistics/adsl data page
    annexure. Interested in mod mode selected
    snr/attn line rate and rate selected.
    By changing mod mode to Gdmt u/l speed
    may reduce.
    2.
    Check is DSL(?) menu page
    Uncheck ADSL2+ and Annex M.
    report.
    3.
    Procedure:
    Save any browser page as a JPG picture to say
    C:/My Documents/Pictures./ modem data
    when you post here select Go advanced
    Scroll down the page.
    Select "manage attachments"
    Upload Jpg picture from above location.

    4. In torrents
    select lowest U/l speed. TYpe KB kB Kb carefully.

    Please post the same page with your settings.

    In Torrents select the lowest upload speed usually 25 KB/sec
    3.
    In your modem there is menu item called
    Statistics
    Select ADSL
    post as "annexure" the page (Procedure in Post 14)
    or extract the SNR ATTN LINE RATE Rate
    Also report mod mode selected ADSL2+ or GDMT etc.
