Thread: Mobile connection with BSNL broadband

I have HTC mobile and a BSNL broadband connection at home. Though my mobile is able to connect with my BSNL Router (Siemens SL2_141), I am unable to open any webpage. Incidentally my laptop connects with my router through wifi and I am able to surf the net. I use the BSNL provided username and password for connection to internet through my laptop. Please help.

1. Which mode are you in ? PPPoE or Bridge ? Switch to PPPoE.

2. Enable DHCP in your modem.

3. In the TCP/IP properties in laptop and desktop, set " Obtain IP address automatically " and try.

DHCP is enabled
TCP/IP is OK
Still my mobile does not access the internet

Please check any UPnP box selection in sl2-141.

Do you have to enter any security key either in laptop or HTC phone ?

Can you see your wireless network in the mobile?
What is the encryption method used to authenticate?

Yes I can see my wireless network in the mobile. I am using open mode.

How does one enable DHCP?
