Thread: Has bsnl dataone speed increased?

I got following speeds on Home 500C plan when tested with speedtest.net.Has BSNL increased its speed for this plan?

yes man i am also getting atleast 3.5 mbps from last 4 to six months good for us !

Download any file from Microsoft and report the speed here.Speed tests may be misleading. My 512 Kbps connection shows 1 Mbps on speed test.

I tested on the site above.It shows only 634 kbps.But on Download Managers I get speed of 240-250Kb/s.That means I can download 700Mb file in about 50minutes. I can say from it that my above mentioned Speed test somewhat strange.So,I think no increase in Speed.Thanks for help and replies.

Test on a Distant Server-

My Location is Guwahati, Assam,North East India.
My Router is- Iball Baton ASDL2+ router iB-LR6111A

I have also seen in my torrent downloads that some time it reaches 310KB/s or above. So question is has BSNL increased the speed for DATAONE in HOME500Combo plan.

No change in my broadband speed.

In my case, I can say that, yes! the speed for 500C+ plan has increased in my locality. Here is the screenshot

But Yes, This is also true that no official anouncement yet from BSNL side.

No changes for me. Downloading going on, still the same 60 KBps for UL 750. Will be more than happy to know that it is true for all.
