Please do contact them. During rainy season, water seeps into the cables and internet gets disconnected. But when they come to check, you or someone must be at home and check when they tell you to check. It happens here in Mysore quite often.

    Disable adsl2 + box.
Go to MANAGEMENT. DISABLE TR_069 CLIENT .
save REBOOT WAIT FOR 2 minutes. Recheck snr/attn etc.

Your modem will sync at lower speeds with DSLAM. So that you will get a stable connection. ADSL 2+ puts higher stress than than of G.DMT on the line, however, with G.DMT you get upto 12.3 mbps downstream rates whereas bsnl gives only 2mbps you can switch to G.DMT to have a stable connection.

When the line condition is good it does not matter much whether it is ADSL/ADSL 2+/G.DMT. But, when line has joints or underground cable is not good it is better to use G.DMT modulation so as to have a stable adsl connection.
