Default BSNL charged me for my own modem

I applied for a new BB connection last month. At that time, they were not having enough modems for everyone, so the exchange guy told me to either buy your own modem from a shop or wait for another month till modems become available. I decided to buy my own modem. So the guy wrote on the invoice that the customer has bought his own modem and he should not be charged.(At the time of filling the BB application form, I had tick marked the purchase option). He assured me that I wont be charged. But in the current bill I have been charged Rs. 1000 for 'Adjustment for Broadband Modem Price'.

    What should I do?

Talk to the accounts officer. Call customer care and ask for his phone no. He can adjust the amount in future bills.
