Again to get back internet i need to Switch off my modem and retry dialing connection some times i have to retry for 2-3 times. this switching off thing is to be done with out it shows the above error.

    1. Ask BSNL to refresh your port at exchange.

    2. Get your line checked by the line man.

    3. Check your splitter. Bypass it and connect directly to the modem and try.

    4. Try a friend's modem at your place and check. May be the modem is faulty.

    5. You can get a wifi modem from BSNL for Rs. 1,800 + tax or Rs. 80 per month rent.

    Mode:ADSL2+
Uncheck this box and select GDMT for a stable connection.
You can also try "Always On" PPP/PPPoE mode
    ( enter userId/PW in wan page )
Use DNS 8.8.8.8 and 208.67.220.220 in modem and network settings.
    Diagnostics Settings: br_1_41 Diagnostic
    Presume br 0_35 also available
and VPI/VCI selected in above is 0 and 35.
    Feedback.

It appears from the line stats that your line is fine.Do you hear any sudden noise in your phone?

    How old is your modem?

I faced issues with this(UTSTARCOM UT300R2U) modem before its power supply failure, power supply did not actually die, but it gives ac power over adapters output. It disconnects frequently, In an effort to isolate the problem when I try to check it by leaving it on through night Just changed its place and connected and while moving it a side I accidentally touched metal outer ring of the lan port of the modem and I got a shock. For a moment I cannot understand what happened, later I put a line tester on the metal frame of the lan port of the modem it lit up. Further to make sure I removed the dc in jack from the modem and touched its positive pole with a line tester and it lit up and the same I did with a spare modem power adapter it did not lit up. When this is connected to the system through lan cable the ac power is grounded through the system earth wire so I cannot notice the presence of ac.

So be careful and check whether your power adapter is also doing the same. This can be done by simply removing the dc jack from the modem and testing the metal rings with a simple ac line tester for ac output.

Let us be known what is the result.

Don't know the exact reason but it should not be so. So, I got a new modem and it is 12V dc output but it does not lit up the line tester. Whereas the old one is 10V one but it lits a line tester. Before replacing borrow a modem and use it at your place and check whether the line is stable.

You can get ac-dc adapters at around Rs.100/- They have multiple dc outputs from 6v to 12v and also knob for changing the polarity of the dc jack try it as the problem is the adapter not the modem so if we can get the aftermarket adapter problem is solved or you can carry this as a spare modem and buy a new one.
