Hi,
I am using Netgear modem. I don't know the technical details and the method of renewal of my modem settings. Can anybody explain whether I can use the software availble fro BSNL website? If yes Netgear belongs to which category? Thanks in advance. I am using Home plan 550C. These days I am not getting ful speed and as wel as frequent disconnections.

Presume you have an adsl modem supplied by BSNL either on rent or outright purchase.
Confirm , now you are connected to Internet.

1. Post your SNR and attenuation values.

2. Stay away from BSNL self care software. Known to corrupt settings.

3. Get your line checked by the line man. Ask him to remove joints and no insulation areas of line.
