Thread: Bsnl broadband plan change

Hello members,
I've applied for the plan-change of my BSNL BB, my plan is Home 500. I applied for it on 27th of August & i clearly mentioned in my application with bold letters to change the plan on 1st of September. But, the problem is that they haven't changed my plan & on BSNL portal i still see my plan as "Provisioned" for Home500.
Actually i've applied to change my plan to Home 125 from currently running Home 500!!!! And what i am worried for is that i've downloaded on the night of 31st, that means on 1st of September, from 2.15 to 7.45. So, can you tell me what will happen now since my plan is still not changed or even "Opened" for Home 125 yet? Will i be charged for the night download of 31st???? Can i download at nights until the portal shows my plan as Home 125 "provisioned???? Can i download even tonight? I am asking these Q's only because my plan is still showing provisioned for Home 500 only!!!!
And if they change my plan sometime later in September then what will they charge or do for my night downloads??????

1. Plan change normally happens in the first week. If you cannot see even " future dated ", they are yet to process your plans. Make calls to your exchange and enquire.

2. You will be charged according to your current plan till you get your new plan provisioned.

3. You will not get whole 1.5 GB if your plan change happens before 30th of September. ie, if your plan changes on 15 th, you will have 0.75 GB non NU usage. You can use NU as you wish till the plan change is provisioned.

Thanks for the help, btw i want to ask about the thing you specified in point no. 3 above; which 1.5 GBs you are speaking about????? My current plan is Home 500 & the new plan which i want is Home 125 & as per my knowledge the free download limits for these plans are 2.5GBs & 150 MBs respectively!!!!! So, please clear out my doubt.


And finally you mean to say that until & unless my account shows Home 125 plan as "Provisioned" i can download during night time i.e Night-Unlimited (0200 HRs to 0800 HRs). Am i right or wrong??? Please reply me!!!!!

1. I mistook your plan as 500 C. Error regretted. The limit is 2.5 GB.

2. You can use night unlimited till your new plan get provisioned.

Rural plans are for users in Rural areas.
Since you have the regular plan since JULY 2010,
Talk to CC , or approach A.O
for change of plan, justifying claim for rural plans. or check up
whether your Exchange ( Location circle?) is listed under rural exchanges.

If you are sure that you are in Combo 500, you can use Night Unlimited without any trouble.
