    Unhappy Internet Keeps Getting Disconnected

Guys, I'm experiencing a very strange problem with my Internet connection.

After I switch on the modem I get connected to the internet, but after about 30 or 40 minutes my model restarts and the lights just keep blinking and I have to switch off my model and switch it on after about an hour or so. Again the same problem repeats. I'm getting really frustrated and I feel like bashing my modem. Please can anyone of you tell me any fixes to my strange problem?

    1. Check the splitter. Make sure that all connections come after splitter.

    2. Connect directly to the modem and check.

    3. Check the adapter. Make sure that it is not causing the problem.

    4. Post your SNR and attenuation values.

    5. Mention modem - model and make.

Here is the DSL status of my modem

    Status SHOWTIME
    Mode ADSL2+
    Type

    Downstream Upstream
    Rate (Kbps) 2047 509
    SNR Margin (dB) 23.6 24.5
    Attenuation (dB) 46.0 23.0
    Attainable Rate (Kbps): 7242 1176
    Output Power (dBm) 12.2 17.0
    Super Frames 44233 40703
    Super Frame Errors 0 0

The connections are perfectly alright and I'm not receiving any kind of noise over the phone. My model is C2110 ADSL Modem. I've contacted the BSNL people and they say it is because of virus on my PC. I've installed BitDefender and have removed all the virus that is present but I couldn't remove a particular virus called Trojan.Packed.Palevo.Gen.1. Is it really the reason for my connection getting disconnected?

Attenuation is a bit high. Get your line checked. Make sure they remove joints and no insulation parts from your line.

Virus infection may cause this. But the chance it is a rare cause.
