    Question help with the username password guys?

    Guys i totally forgot the username and password of the modem given to us by bsnl not the portal one.I am getting a new router next week .i had this problem in my hometown before the game the details now i live in chennai by my experience with them they are not very kind when you ask them these kind of questions do you think they will be helpful and give me the details.

    1.if you are on "Dialer" mode USERID is visible.
    Password , if saved can be recovered with PW recovery tools.
    2. If you were using "alwaysOn" PPP/PPPoE mode
    UserID/PW entered in WAN page.
    Open page and in Context menu select "View source"
    Scroll down for plain language Password..
    3. If you got a new BB connection in Chennai
    Ask JTO for userID/PW giving the telephone number Consumer number. Also your email address. A personal visit may help.

    Which mode do you use ? Bridge or PPPoE ?

    If bridge/dialer, password is normally password. You can find the user name in the dialer.

    If PPPoE, log in to your modem, select the 0_35 entry, " edit" it and browse through the pages. You will find a page with user name. As mentioned above, password will be password.

    I found it guys you folks here are the best even bsnl customer support cant be this helpful you guys are fantastic.

    Explain method used.
    or just tried default PW as "password".( in my case it was essw2q3!)
