Default Doubt on Bsnl broad band and Land line Tarrif...

Having plan to have Bsnl unlimited home (unlimited)499 broad band plan. Before that i need to get bsnl land line phone. But actually i am having mobile phone and no need to call from bsnl land line. I am just getting land line only for broad band. Do i need to pay any extra amount monthly for land line too ? I never going to make any calls from that land line also my main purpose of broadband is surfing only. I cant spend more than Rs.500. Kindly let me know, should i pay monthly land line bill (fixed charge) even though did not make any calls? If so, how much could it be?

Seems you have to avail at least One India Plan Rs 180/= P.M for Landline for getting this broadband connection.
    Check here.

    Default opt combo plan...

For BSNL broadband, stand alone and combo plans are available. in stand alone plan we hav to pay monthly charges for Landline and Broadband separetely.. In combo plan, plan charge includes both landline and broadband charges.

    for eg.
If u opt bbg250 plan, u will have to pay 250(broadband) + 110(landline) per month u can use 1gb data and 75 free calls

If U opt combo 500, u will have to pay 500(broadband+landline)only per month u can use 1.5gb data,175 free calls and Night unlimited data..

here u have to use 499 plan, so u had better pay advance annual rental for landline, ie 600rs per year( 1200 if urban area), just 50rs per month and having 30 free calls too. Annual payment option is also available for broadband, for 499 plan it is just 4990 only

ie If u can pay 5590 initially U will not get any bills for a YEAR.......
Surf.... Download ... chat... 24hrs a day.. its rocking.... ie UNLIMITED data and 360 calls @ just 466 rs per month...

and one more thing .. If u are a government employee/retired hand u are eligible for 20 % discount too

BB 499 + Landline fixed charge -150 (256kpbs speed and no free calls)
BB 750 + No land line fee - (512 kbps speed and 50 free calls )

which one is better for me to get into? kindly suggest anyone.

BSNL DATA-ONE(broadband internet services) is provided as an add-on facility for BSNL landline phone. First of all you have to have a landline connection in order to have broadband facility.

There are COMBO plans which do not have any landline tariffs.

Moreover, in dotsoft based billing system opening and closing meter readings are provided to show you the telephone usage and upon request they also provide itemised call statement and in CDR based billing system they provided call records So you need not doubt the BSNL telephone billing system. One more thing if you do not need telephone for outgoing calls simply lock it using dynamic lock so no calls will be made.

The basic difference between these plans is the SPEED.. if 499 plan has 256kbps and 750 has 512kbps speed, if u r interested in speed, go for BB Home Combo UL 750, which has no rent for phone and no free calls.

if u r not bothered about speed, go for 499 plan, you hav to pay rs 110/180 for landline depends on rural/urban ( Annual rental option 600/1200 for land line can be opted to avoid monthly phone rent)

I have applied for BB Home Combo UL 750 plan yesterday. They have collected me money as follow.

Telephone refundable charge - Rs. 500
    BB Refundable Charge ---------Rs. 750
Modem charge ................................Rs.2250 (1 yr warranty)

Totally Rs. 3500......................But still they dint issue modem in my hand. They said the connection will be established with in two days with modem.

Kindly let me know, Is it right billing ? or Have they collected any extra money from me?

Minimum Rs 499+ One India Plan Rs 180/= plus taxes 10.3% approx. Modem rent Rs 40/= or Rs 80/= Deposit Rs 500 or Rs 1000/=
    All details here.

( if you have a landline with different tariff plan , L/L rental will change.

    Jumpin Chimney Christmas!!!!

Is BSNL playin mind games or wat???

Then I ll b payin arnd 499+180+50 = 729 bucks + taxes per month. Its atrocious.

    The 750 plan makes sense...ll get 512 kbps & ...payment would b 750 + taxes per month if there r no fone/modem charges(rite?).

..............wich would mean a difference of 30-40 bucks (cuz of taxes) between 499 & 750 plans.

    I feel Reliance Combo 300 s way better & cheaper than the BSNL BB@499 plan (256 kbps).....juz need2pay Rs.499+tax = 550 bucks per month for speed of 300kbps.
No phone rental or modem charges.

Also local calls r @50p and STD @Re.1 for Reliance Combo 300 whereas BSNL is One India Plan - both Local+STD@Re.1.

I thout BSNL would b cheaper....
