Doubtful.
Many Private companies also provide medical PF gratuity etc.
Central State Govt employees/ pensioners and,
GOI undertakings Nationalised Banks staff are eligible for 20 % concession.
Talk to BSNL CC for clarification.
Check with your local exchange. You may get lucky convincing them.
Yeah. I asked my local exchange. The lady who is working there told me that if your father is in co-operative (PSU) you can get 20% concession. If so, who is the authority to allow this discount scheme?
Give a written application to BSNL CC and get an acknowledgement in your copy. Give telephone number consumer number .
Attach a certificate from Manager of the Press , that your father ( name details etc ) is employed there(, also add : " the certificate is for availing 20% discount on BSNL BB " optional ).
Check from October 2010 bill.

I think there is a prescribed format for the application. When I applied, I got one form which need to be attested by the head of the institution. If not, you can simply do as suggested above.

The authority said this is enough to provide you the 20% concession under PSU and they got photo copy of that document. It will only unveil only when i get my first month bill.
