    Default Info regd BSNL Broadband 499 plan

    Heya,

    I m tinkin of optin for the BSNL Broadband Rs.499 plan wich provides a speed of 256 kbps?

    Is there anyone in the forum currently usin this plan?

    If so, how s the browsin & download speeds? Is it OK?

    How s the download speed in torrents?

    Any info would b most helpful.

    It will be same as old UL 750 plan. Expect a maximum of 32 KBps. On an average the speed will hover around 25 -30 KBps. If line condition is good, it will take one hour to download 100 MB.

    It depends on the line condition. Are you facing disconnections now ? If not, you may not face it.

    I vent taken up the connection so far. ll b doin so in the nxt couple of days. I m currently usin BSNL WLL wich gets disconnected on switching on of electrical appliances...
    It gets disconnected often!

    Oh ! I am not an expert, I feel that electrical appliances do not interfere in wired connection or wifi. At my home it is working without any disconnection.

    BSNL WLL which gets disconnected on switching on/ off electrical appliances...
    Mention type of electrical appliances
    Are you using UPS for computer and WLL modem ( mention make ) ?

    BSNL modem gets off even with light disturbance in electricity. I tried 2 UPS still it restarts when light goes off and other things like CPU, Monitor are still running. Now I am running Netgear DG834G and everything is fine.

    Nah, I m not usin any UPS....

    Yeah wll connection will get dissconnected when elecrical appliances like fan,fridge etc are swittched on or off while connected to net.dont know the reson but its getting dissconncted

    Default BB Home UL 499* SULABH

    Heya,

    I went to the BSNL Commercial office today & the lady@the Broadband enquiry gave me a breakdown of the BB Home UL plans of 499, 625 & 750.
    The foll is my understandin. Pls correct me if I m wrong

    1. BB Home UL 499*

    a) Normal - 499 + 180 (phone rent) + 50 (modem rent) + tax = arnd Rs.801 (needs clarification)

    b) Sulabh - 499 + 99 (phone rent if u want only incomin calls) + 50 (modem rent) + tax = arnd Rs.712

    2. BB Home UL 625*
    625 + 50 (modem rent) + tax = arnd Rs.743

    3. BB Home UL 750 cums arnd Rs.825 . It exempts the phone + modem rent...I m not clear bout diz plan....

    ll b goin for 625 plan.

    ADD:
    modem security Rs 500}=
    BB rent advance One month Rs 625/=
    Installation charges waived.

    So, how much do V ve to pay@the time of application for new connection?
