Thread: random link failure

For past several days I have been facing random link failure.DSL orange light starts blinking.This problem mainly occurs during pc bootup.After 2-4 rounds of blinking and stabling net starts.
Also, all of a sudden this again happens when I am at work.

I changed the splitter,since then frequency of disconnection seems to be reduced.

Now,I am thinking of replacing my modem with D-link 802 GLB router.

plz advise me-

(1) is it a modem problem or exchange problem?
(2) Is 802 GLB is the right choice?If not what are the options?
(3)I have heard that no manual(print / on web) is available for the same??
(4)This modem overheats.

Please open menu pages and post snr attn etc data
Connection status. Try mod mode GDMT.

Incorrect. At my request Dlink posted user manual for GLB802C
(4)This modem overheats.
Change position so that airvents have free air movement.

1. Type 192.168.1.1 in your browser.

2. ID and password is admin.

3. Post the screen shot of landing page.
