Unhappy Frequent disconnections with AR800V v3.0 modem

    Hi all,

I am facing frequent disconnection problem with AR800V v3.0 modem. I am using wired connection not wifi. DSL link is stable always. Kindly tell me whether it is modem problem, line problem, or my system problem, and also tell me about the performance of AR800V v3.0 modem.

    Thanks.

I am using the same modem. Working fine for me.

    1. Post your SNR and attenuation values.

    2. Check your connection. Make sure that all connections come after the splitter. Bypass the splitter, connect directly to the modem and check.

    3. If possible, get a friend's modem and check.

    Hi,

Here are the SNR and attenuation values. SNR (Downstream) varies from 0 to any figure. Sometimes it goes below 0. It is the best SNR (Downstream) value that I seen.

    DSL Status Connected
    Downstream Data Rate 8187900
    Upstream Data Rate 508900
    SNR (Downstream) 21.05 dB
    SNR (Upstream) 30.0 dB
    Line Attentuation(Downstream) 25.5 dB
    Line Attentuation(Upstream) 12.5 dB

    Thanks.

    Checked splitter ? Modem ?

If SNR varies a lot, get your line check by the line man.

    Hi,

Yes checked splitter. SNR value is around same before and after splitter. It is quite difficult to check modem because none of my friends have modem. I am in search of other friends for modem. Interesting thing is that DSL link is always stable. I contacted a line man to check my line. He told me if DSL link is stable it means line is okay.

    @raoshivashish
    1.
Uncheck adsl2+ box and select GDMT.(in modem)
    2.
Are you using "Dialer" "bridged" mode
    or
    PPP/PPPoE "Always On" mode?
    3.
Try changing dns in both modem and
    TCP/IP properties page
    4.
    Check link "teracom" given below.
    8.8.8.8 and 208.67.220.220
