Thread: PLZ help configuring Belkin N150 for Bsnl BB...

Hi there
I got a new BSNL BB and the Belking N150 ADSL-2 Modem router too... But when the person came home to configure the modem with laptop, he said we cant give support for this modem, purchased from outer market. He said its very difficult to configure this modem for BSNL BB... Now what f*** i do???

I cant buy another modem ofcourse, my parents would kick my ass for that..

Please help me configuring this modem router.. I'm using windows 7.


When i connected the cable in modem, the ADSL light turned on, but the INTERNET's light is amber and blinking. I tried once by myself, with the CD given, but couldnt make it...

For your information, I know only the ABC about computers, i'm not any expert... so keep it as easy as possible.. plz

mention adsl modem provided by BSNL.
2.
Give details of modem/make/model/number.
3.
Select Management menu and BACKUP present settings to say
C://MY Documents/ Bsnl modem settings.
4.
Select from link/s below and see screen shots for your model/
5.
Set for "Always On" PPP/PPPoE connection
( USERID/PW to be entered in wan page of modem )
6.
confirm you are connected to Internet and can surf.

I have faced the same problem and I know how frustrating it is. Now I have successfully configured the Belkin N 150 modem and I would like to share the screen shots of my configuration if you could share your private email address with me.

Select "Go advanced" here Scroll down the page.
Select Manage attachments.
Upload the screenshots.
all links will be stored inIBF for future use.
Sometimes Image Shack etc delete pictures after 90 days or so.

go to your router setting from internet explorer
and change these settings according to the information for bsnl broadband in your state....

Internet Settings
WAN MAC Address 00:1E:40:06:**:**(User Define)
Connection Type PPPoE
WAN IP 117.199.67.***
Subnet Mask 255.0.0.0
Default Gateway 117.199.**.*
DNS Address 218.248.255.**

I'm having the same issues with the one mentioned in the link Belkin : Basic Wireless Modem Router

This could be coz the modem has a 6 pin adsl socket whereas bsnl provides only two pin jack. Technically possible to solve but have to know which wire has to be connected with which pin.

The admins and mods should look at this post..

You will need a plain modem before you can use the above.
