    Post DATA one to EVDO

    Hi All

Right now I am using BSNL Dataone (plan Home500C).
I paid whole year money in Advanced.

I heard that EVDO provide nice speed.

So I want to know can I transfer my plan to Databone Home 500 C to EVDO?

And I am staying at Anand in Gujarat. There is Tower of EVDO in it.

And I want to know whats the EVDO speed when I am out of the EVDO tower.

    Thanking you,
    Harshad Mahant

I dont know about EVDO speed but mobile internet has its share of problems of signal strength and slow speed. No matter what you do there will be speed fluctuations. Weather plays a important role.
EVDO is good for normal surfing on laptops only .

    Hello
Why you quitting Data one plan do you have any issues with it.EVDO gives good speed only if you are near the tower ean u need full signal to get the real speed Evdo gives upto 3.1mbps. but when you are out of Evdo enabled are it will only give 144kbps normal speed.Opt it only after having a demo. And why u need wireless instead of cable conncetcion cable connction gives stabilty.wirelsess is good for the guys whoo are on the move and seek mobilty. But EVDO givs unlimited for about 750rs thats the edge

You can access internet anywhere on your desktop and on your laptop provided you have a CDMA tower closeby. Depends upon the location of the tower and your residence or place of travel.

My friends in Bangalore and Chennai reported the speeds as around 150 - 200 KBps.Sometimes, it may go up to 250 KBps. Speed of EvDO depends on the following factors

    1. Distance from the tower.

    2. No. of users per tower.

Before you opt for EvDO, make sure that you get a demo at your place. I think they will not adjust the balance amount in upcoming bill. Still it is worth to give it a try.
