Above, I posted one thread regarding long ping times of my connection. Forgot to post the line stats. Since It seems I cannot edit (don't know why), I'm posting them here in a separate post. Sorry for that.

Connected Standard ADSL2+

I have done the above ping test on a PC, connected by LAN (not wireless).

Also can u pl let me know whether DNS could cause this problem. I use Treewalk for Local DNS host.

your snr and atten are both fine.

latencies aren't really changed much if you change dns servers. I Really don't get why people on this forum keep recommending changing this.

It could be a line issue - pick up your phone and see if there is any crackling sound/noise.

If local (indian) websites open fine and you don't have any heavy packet loss it's almost certainly an issue on BSNL's end.

Since you mentioned foreign servers; it's probably bsnl's worthless routing at work.

As I have already mentioned in my main post; there is no audible noise (crackling etc) in the phone.
