    Question BSNL's fake warning or real??????? Please help!!!!

    Hello members,
    I an facing a weird problem. On 28th of September i applied for the plan-change of my current plan HOME 500 NU, but they (BSNL) haven't changed my plan yet. I had applied for HOME 125. Now the main problem is that on 5th of Sept. i.e. yesterday when i switched on my computer & logged into BSNL i got a warning page stating that i have exceeded my monthly free usage limit of 150 MB!!!!!!!

    According to usage-details portal its still showing my currently "Provisioned" plan as BBG FN 500!!!!! Moreover its still showing my night usage (0200-0800) as zero!!!!!! So, what's the bluff BSNL is playing with me???? Daily i check usage-details portal then only i start downloading at night, and since my plan is still BBG FN 500 so i continued downloading at night time. I am attaching pics of usage-details portal with this post.
    Please suggest me what should i do now!!!!!!!

    Keep the screen shots safe. You may need while talking to the accounts officer. As you have mentioned, your plan is still Home 500. Unfortunately, they have not even processed your plan change application. Otherwise you should have seen future date in the orders page. Be careful with your usage. They won't be giving whole 1 GB if your plan is changed in the middle of the month. Better talk to the exchange where you gave the application and speed up the process.

    i guess BSNL doesnt update the plan changes in its messaging service. I had plan 500 C earlier (1.5 GB) and now i use plan 500 C+ (or 600 FN combo - 2.5 GB). I still get messages on cellphone that I crossed the 1.5 GB limit. But the billing is proper.

    Hello Sir, i have new info about my problem posted above!!!!!!!
    Just now i returned from BSNL, there i spoke with the person whom i gave the plan-change request. He told me that my plan has been changed on 2nd of October 2010 to Home-125!!!!!!! So, i told him that i was using Night-Unlimited based on my Order-Status and usage information based on Usage Detail Portal, he told me to call a BSNL Officer at Khandwa (This is my Telecom-Circle, its in M.P.).
    Now, when i called that person he told me that whatever i had downloaded from 3rd October 2010 will be charged because my plan was changed on 2nd of October!!!!!!! I told him the same thing that i was using Night-Download only after checking Order-Status & Night-Usage (which were, obviously, zero till 6th of October), still he said data.bsnl.in is old portal now so don't believe it, hence according to him i will be charged for all the night-downloads from 3rd of October!!!!!!!!!
    So, please suggest me something, i got my new Customer ID from him & have registered on Self Care Portal to view the new Usage-Statistics. I am about to get an heart-attack imagining the bill which will come in November!!!!!! I have saved the pages and screenshots of my order-status & usage detail (which i had attached above), will they be of any use if i get huge bill?????
    My dad will kill me if the bill comes that much high!!!!!! What do you suggest????? What is my fault in all this????? I am crying while typing this!!!!! Please help me!!!!!!

    1. Post your present orders page. Check the effective date of your plan.

    2. Confirm that you can still see the NU usage as zero.

    3. Don't worry. If you have orders page intact, we can talk with them and try to fix the issue. It will be wise not to download anything else now.

    So sir, what do you say? They have added all the downloaded data to my chargeable units!!!!!! I am going to get the October bill of 2.6 lacs!!!!!! How can i pay this?????? I have already posted the portal screenshots above in the starting of this post, is there any fault of mine in this whole issue??? Also, in one the screenshots, which i am posting now, the outstanding bill amount is shown as almost 8000 bucks!!!!!! How is that possible? For the months of August and September we haven't got the bill because BSNL staff said that the new billing system is going to be introduced based on CDR so we will get the bills late and during those two months my Broadband plan was Home 500, i had not used my 2.5 GB limit during those months!!!!!!! Moreover, i had not crossed even 2 GBs for those months!!!!! So, how the out standing amount is shown as 8000??????

    Please help me sir, i am in a great tension, i can't inform all this to my papa at present. If possible please give me your contact number or something, i will die because of all this!!!!!!

    Please, please help me anyhow!!!!!!!

    yes, that can help alot(my personal experience)..
    a bsnl ac officer could be a very good/bad person when talking.. but the best thing is that its a Govt. enterprise and anything can happen.. most cases, they do consider(which is not possible with private cos. )..

    have no tension and go to them.. you can start with the local lineman for this.. (if you know him personally).. and than approach the ac officer, well all before a week of the billing has to be paid off.

    if provisioned date for 125plan not added/shown . confirm.
    Appears you have been shifted to 125 plan on 5th or 6th October.

    2(a).
    You should have avoided NU download on or after 1st Oct AFTER applying for plan change on 27th Sept 2010.
    2(b)
    Did you mention any effective date in your application ?
    Usually, Plan change is supposed to be effected from 1st of the Month.
    3.
    Seems the meter is adding both NU and day usage from 1st 0ct .
    Check usage data again
    SAVE page for usage 1st October till date.
    Also post it here.
    4.
    (a)Calculate your Day usage 08AM to 02AM ( 1/10 to 10/10)
    Already exceeded 150 MB limit.( allowed daily 5 MB !!!)
    (b)Calculate NU usage data 02-08 AM ( 1st October to 5th Oct)
    5.
    If the portal has shown NU as 0 (say 1st Oct2010 to 5th or 6th Oct benefit will be given to you.)

    Para two:

    If your bill is going to be for Sept/ and October, better to get print out ( or save as file)of usage page September 2010 also.

    Hello there, don't know what the f*ck is going on at BSNL!!!!!! Just now i received BSNL's Broadband Weekly Alert on my mobile phone. It states that my usage till 02:38:41 hrs of 12/10/10 is only 917 MB!!!!!!!!!

    Can anyone explain me the whole scenario please??????? Am i really going to get the huge bill or the chargeable units shown on new portal are just a total of my data usage since the start of broadband connection?????? I am totally helpless now, if the bill comes too high then i will really commit the suicide and will blame BSNL totally for my death in death-note. I am really serious!!!!!

    .You have the means to check your usage, and find out EFFECTIVE date of plan transfer TO HOME 125. ( as shown in Post No 1).

    You changed the plan to Home125 with a limit of 150MB
    and blamed BSNL. for charging Rs. 8000/= etc.

    Change of plan DATE critical.
    Add . your usage during DAYTIME (08AM to 02AM) for 1st October to say 11th October.

    Respected Sir, on the new self care portal it don't show the usage in the form of BSNL Portal, its just showing two tables, one of day usage and the other one is of night usage. On both the tables i cant see any button which shows usage of any particular month!!!! Can you help me with it????

    You can scroll down the page check an and probably BSNL has loaded data for OCTOBER an SEPTEMBER now.
    Are you checking now in portal SELFCARE . ?
    What is your location ?
    Your bill amounts posted by you appear to be , on monthly basis.

    Hello Sir, u said that its my fault that i haven't checked my usage details before using night or day downloading!!!! But as posted by me earlier in this post, my plan and usage were shown as Home500 and zero respectively, so how could have i known that what BSNL is calculating at their end???? All of us depend on Orders page and Usage page and i had also done the same!!!!!! And as i said, i was checking Night-Usage everyday in the morning and till 6th of October it was shown as zero for it!!!!!! It happened only at evening of 6th October that i was unable to open portal!!!!!!

    2.
    Also download application, Networx
    to keep track of your usage, on hourly/daily/weekly/monthly basis from today.
    3.
    When portal is accessed check plan change date., which SHOULD BE shown usually.

    Yes Sir, i tried to save it in excel sheet but it don't have any option to select it for any particular month, it saves the whole 2 or 3 months usage. Moreover, when i try to export it to excel the page shifts to a black & white page and the whole usage there is shown in black writing, it don't have any option to save it to my computer in *.xls format.

    But what do you suggest me as of now ?????? I am going to Accounts Officer tomorrow, please tell me am i on the fault in all this???? Will my claim be entertained??????

    Please reply me!!! I will be very greatful to you for my entire life!!!!!

    that weekly alert has little meaning against that shown in the billing

    A.O will ask you wait for final bimonthly bill in November 2010

    As suggested, keep your down load to 5 MB per day
    ( both day and night . NO FREE downloads)
    and use local meters to check your usage
    2.
    You can go to a internet surfing shop or request a friend to save BB usage and get the print out. for SEPTEMBER 2010 showing 0 data for NU period. and day usage.
    If there is an overlap in the timings average usage per hour may be calculated and relief given to you.

    example 12AM to 0200 AM and 0200AM to 0400 AM both recorded as chargeable data.

I just have three screenshots of Order status and October month's usage (which i had posted in the starting of this thread), along with that i also had saved all those three web pages!!!!! So, please clarify what you want to say!!!!

    i meant that weekly alert by sms has no or little meaning against that shown in bsnl portal..

    Which is your location?
    There are four selfcare portals now.
    If you think, you have not downloaded heavily after 6th October,no
    need to panic.

    Sir, i am from Madhya Pradesh. My city is Burhanpur & my Telecom Circle is Khandwa, & i know for sure that i haven't downloaded during night hours because since 6th i was not able to check my Plan and Usage details so i stopped downloadind from the night of 6th that means morning of 7th. Thanks, by the way!!!!
